I can’t do tenancy referencing by myself!

In short, you can.  Choosing the right tenant is doubtless key if you want to be profitable and successful as a landlord.

To ensure you have a good tenant, you can perform reference checks.  There are plenty available such as identity checks, financial checks, previous landlord references amongst others.

Under section 22 of the Immigration Act of 2014, landlords in England are legally obliged to obtain an identification and citizenship check.

We’d recommend engaging a professional company to do so for you.  Estate Agents themselves don’t actually carry out these checks, some might but most outsource to professional referencing agencies – you can easily do that yourself!!

National Residential Landlord Association (NRLA) offers full tenant referencing service. Check more details here

Tenant’s deposits must be managed by agents
